China imported 1.244 mln tonnes of edible vegetable oils in December, an increase of 429,000 tonnes or 52.64% from 815,000 tonnes in November and an increase of 340,000 tonnes or 37.61% from 904,000 tonnes a year earlier, data from China’s Customs showed.

January to December imports thus amount to 9.831 mln tonnes in 2020, a year-over-year increase of 298,000 tonnes or 3.13% from 9.533 mln tonnes.
